Antony and Cleopatra Hearts

Tea Type: Antony and Cleopatra Hearts - 50g (average 9 - 11 hearts per bag)

Profile: Formed with Compressed BOP (broken orange pekoe) black tea in the shape of hearts.

This tea is named after one of the most famous love stories of all time, that of Marc Antony and Cleopatra. These teas represent the tragedy of their love, unfurling in your cup of hot water with dark red wine color and deep earthy notes. Similar to a seasonal Keemun.

These beautiful modern adaptation of pressed tea bricks from ancient China are made in Yunnan Province. Packaged in Canada. Each heart make about 2 cups each. Or you can be dramatic and snap each heart in half for each cup!

(If you don't like your tea with loose leaves in it be sure to filter the tea through an infuser or mesh screen)

Ingredients: Dried black tea leaves formed into heart shapes
Caffeine level: Medium
Antioxidant level: Medium

HOT BREWING INSTRUCTIONS: Bring filtered or freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. Use 1 heart for each 2 cups (474ml) of water. Pour the boiling water over the tea leaves into the cup or teapot. Cover and let steep for 4-5 minutes according to taste (the longer the steeping time the stronger the tea). Covering your tea while steeping will keep beneficial oils in your tea! 

IDEAL BREWING TEMPERATURE: 100ºC/212ºF

Although this product does NOT contain gluten, oat and wheat gluten, tree nuts, peanuts, hazelnuts, pecans, walnuts, almonds, coconut, wheat starch, soy, soy lecithin, our tea was packaged in a facility that may handle these products.
