Herbal Tea Type: Labrador Tea - 30g, 15g
Profile: Labrador Tea has a a pleasant coniferous aroma, (fir or spruce, a signature of the boreal forest) with citrus notes and a spicy taste at the finish. It is often used in teas, tinctures or used topically.
Latin name: Rhododendron groenlandicum
Herbal Uses: Traditionally the leaves of Labrador tea is used as a medicinal herbal tea especially for coughs and colds. it has been used to spice meat by soaking the meat in a boiled decoction of the leaves. Labrador tea is known to significantly reduce tissue inflammation and has antiseptic properties used internally and externally. Indigenous peoples, including the Cree, Innu, and Inuit, have used it for millennia. Caution: Do not over consume as Labrador Tea as it can cause cramping, vomiting, or nervous system issues in large, concentrated doses due to ledol and grayanotoxins contained in this herb. One cup per day is sufficient unless otherwise advised by a health professional.

30g of Tea or herbs, makes about 30 - 40 cups. (15g = 15-20 cups, 60g = 60-80 cups)
HOT BREWING INSTRUCTIONS: Bring filtered or freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil then let cool slightly to 90°C–95°C. Use 1g to 3g of loose tea for each 1 cup (237ml) of water. Pour the boiling water over the tea leaves into the cup or teapot. Cover and let steep for 3-5 minutes (no longer than 10 mins to avoid releasing to many tannins) according to taste (the longer the steeping time the stronger the tea). Covering your tea while steeping will keep beneficial oils in your tea!
