Herbal Tea Type: Red Cornflower Petals - 40g, 20g

Profile: Russet red brown and deep mild finish tending neutral.

Herbal Uses: Red Cornflower is often used to enhance colour. The petals can also be added to salads, drinks, and desserts for garnish. Traditionally Red Cornflower has been used as a supportive aid for fever, constipation, water retention and chest congestion. Bitter tonics are a liver and gallbladder stimulant, you can also use it  to support menstrual disorders, yeast infection, some people apply red or blue Cornflower to the eye (safely and under supervision) for irritation or discomfort similar to chamomile. For centuries a poultice made from Cornflower petals has been used as a topical treatment for wounds, cuts and lacerations.. It is supportive as an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant.

HOT BREWING INSTRUCTIONS: Bring filtered or freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. Use 1 tsp (2g to 5g) of loose tea for each 1 cup (237ml) of water. Pour the boiling water over the tea leaves into the cup or teapot. Cover and let steep for 3-5 minutes according to taste (the longer the steeping time the stronger the tea). Covering your tea while steeping will keep beneficial oils in your tea! 

Hot tea infusion: 1 – 4 cups a day (237ml – 946ml per day)

IDEAL BREWING TEMPERATURE: 95°C - 100°C/203°F - 212°F. For Food Safety reasons, boil water to 100ºC/212ºF and let it cool down to desired temperature.

Although this product does NOT contain gluten, oat and wheat gluten, tree nuts, peanuts, hazelnuts, pecans, walnuts, almonds, coconut, wheat starch, soy, soy lecithin, our tea was packaged in a facility that may handle these products.
